The Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) is a federal and state partnership program that guides and provides funding for Vermont’s child care system. The Child Development Division (CDD) is the lead agency that receives CCDF funding for the State of Vermont. Every three years, CDD must complete a state plan that shows how the division uses funds in alignment with federal requirements.
The creation of a draft plan for October 1, 2024 through September 30, 2027 is underway. The draft plan will be available on the CDD website by May 22, 2024. As part of the state plan’s development, CDD will engage with stakeholders and the public by gathering feedback through public hearings and comment periods. The final state plan is due to the federal Office of Child Care on July 1, 2024.
After the draft plan is made available, there will be two ways to share your feedback:
- You can join us at one of two upcoming Public Hearings on Tuesday, May 28. The hearings will be held at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Each hearing will last up to 90 minutes. Please limit comments to no more than 3 minutes.
- You can submit written comments through the online comment form. Written comments will be accepted through June 7, 2024.
- If you need the form in another language, please contact Tamera Pariseau at tamera.pariseau@vermont.gov.
