The Child Development Division (CDD) is hosting a webinar to provide an update and answer questions on Act 76 on Monday, December 18th, from 12:30 – 1:30pm EST.
Act 76, an act related to child care and early childhood education, became law on June 20, 2023. The law makes major investments in Vermont’s child care system, and mandates policy changes that will impact child care in both early childhood and school-age settings.
The focus of this webinar will be to provide updates on these changes and how they impact leaders of child care programs and Vermont families and will provide an opportunity for individuals to pose outstanding questions to CDD. Please submit any questions you would like to be addressed during the webinar ahead of time through the event registration page linked below. If you are not able to attend but still have a question, please reach out to ahs.dcfcddinfo@vermont.gov
This webinar will be recorded and made available on the CDD Act 76 webpage. For this and more information, tools, and resources, you can visit CDD’s Act 76 (H.217) | Department for Children and Families site. The Act 76 Summary and Status report and the Frequently Asked Questions document linked on the site both include recent updates.
